It is necessary to remember this today. Our country has failed to learn the important lessons of five years ago, and we are worse for it.

Had you read 2001 before seeing the movie? I love the movie, but I’m also of the view that it would have been unwatchable unless the watcher both read and loved the book.
Just watched it in Rob Reiner’s honor. Not as good as the original, but that was never going to happen. Worth watching nonetheless.
Why stop there when a 1-1-1-1 configuration is also possible? The overhead bins would have to come out for headroom on the first and third aisles, but that’s a small price to pay to have the world’s first triple aisle.

Very true, but also important to remember that we get both cheap AND safe (the latter is often forgotten). It’s amazing that it’s safer to spend $99 on a ticket to fly 500mph, 6 miles off the ground, than it is to stay at home. That takes a lot of hard work from industry and government.
I never said anything about a “coup.” My bet is that she will jump in as the outsider voice of the “true MAGA,” position Trump as selling them out, and parlay that into a presidential run. None of that requires being in Congress and a lot of it is easier if she isn’t.
If you’re taking MTG at her literal word, based on only the words she’s saying right now to the camera, then yes. Based on her history, I think that’s a bad bet but we’ll see who is right.

Anyone MAGA who gets to see the actual video clips is going to have to up their cognitive dissonance level to 3X the normal level to buy that. And undoubtedly some will succeed.
I agree with you that Trump and MAGA have appeared inseparable. However, that doesn’t mean there won’t be people who try to take it over, or break off pieces of the movement. The opportunists on the right smell blood with Trump’s recent weakness.
However it’s a big leap to try to take over what Trump built. Not sure it’s possible to have MAGA without Trump, but that won’t stop people from trying to supersede him.
That wasn’t a resignation announcement, it was an announcement that she’s trying to be in the running to take over MAGA as Trump progressively looks weaker, and then parlay that into a run for the WH. The opportunists on the right smell blood, and there is no loyalty to a weakened Trump.
As Trump gets weaker and MAGA gets disillusioned with him, a power gap opens up. MTG is an opportunist and has been detaching from Trump for a while so she can attempt to take over as the head of MAGA.
