Save this one:
With Netflix out on WBD, I think Netflix is your next men's World Cup rightsholder. And a bigger rights package for the NFL.
We shall see.
Was very cool to see The Athletic bring on sports staffers from The Washington Post. I expected they would add to the staffβ there's a lot of history between top management and WaPo β
and it's nice to see it actually happen after the shit show those staffers dealt with at their old shop.
Your growing power at this place is truly incredible.
The Steinberg Six!
Happy for the group.

NBC says its the most-watched pre-9 a.m. ET (start time) sporting event on record in U.S. history.
NBC says the U.S. win over Canada in men's hockey averaged 20.7 million viewers across NBC, Peacock and USA Network. It peaked at 26 million viewers on NBC and Peacock for the game-winning goal.
On NBC and Peacock alone: 18.6 million viewers for the game.

Thanks to everyone for reading my Olympics stuff over the last three weeks.
But a particular thanks to those at CBC Sports and CBC Olympics for allowing me to return to my favorite event and for treating me much better than I deserved. Just a first-class group there.
The gold medal game between Canada-U.S. at the 2010 Vancouver Games averaged 27.6 million viewers on NBC. It aired midafternoon live.
I don't believe this game will get to that level viewership but it will be fascinating to see what the number will be because it will be massive for a morning event.
Im in Toronto so not me.

For those of who watching in the States:
The CBC hockey panel in Canada did a great job paying tribute and praising the U.S. team for its honoring of the Gaudreau family.
