I think Duane Bryers’ Hilda art is such a perfect example of how making art about a subject that you genuinely find beautiful will show your audience how to appreciate it the way that you do. Art is all about opening this little porthole to show people the world through your filter

Barbie wink

Barbie wink

Part of me feels bad that I've seen Barbie three times and still haven't seen Oppenheimer. But to be fair, I've collected Barbies and other fashion dolls for most of my life, and have never collected nuclear weapons.

SPECTAGORIA’s 1978 “Swimsuit Issue” mocked the concept with visions of “a future where our relentless destruction of the planet boils it with rage, dooming us to crumble into the dust of our own ruin.”

What’s the difference between archeology and grave robbing? About two thousand years.

What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers $15 an hour.”

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”

Funny how that works.

$3,500 for the Apple Vision Pro is, like, the equivalent of three and a half Apple monitor stands!

Really wondering about where the line is to leave the other place. I am concerned about next year’s election given Musk putting his finger on the scale in Turkey, etc.

There is a line where the harm of unchecked disinfo exceeds the benefits of direct, authentic communication.

It’s really sad

It’s like opening a shiny new credit card for the $200 bonus but now you’re $5,000 in debt. No regrets (until next month).

Elden Ring’s lore was written by the king of fantasy, George R. R. Martin, nobody cared, and the game still won Game of the Year.

Kyrsten Sinema Insists She Isn’t a Republican As Her Poll Numbers Tank "Both political parties are twisting stories to create their own narratives, which may or may not be true," the deeply unpopular senator told CBS.

ICYMI Sinema’s Democratic opponent has (accurately) framed her as anti-abortion for her support for the filibuster effectively preventing any possible federal reproductive rights bills moving forward

Add a mild inconvenience like a change of venue and see how few cult followers you actually have. Even Trumpy the Clown’s online presence hasn’t been the same since he was banned on Twitter.
