Been reading posts and seeing the phrase “ I have a pit in my stomach . . .” I assume they mean they have a bad feeling. Isn’t the typical phrase “I have a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach”?? No one has a “pit” in their stomach. What do you guys think?

Bookstore owner here - had a great sales day. But I am with you - it makes no sense that everyone was griping about the price of eggs 3 weeks ago but are now flush with cash. Lemmings who repeat the assertions of talking heads.

Bookstore very quiet last week. Hoping this means huge sales this week on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. Fingers crossed! In the meantime, checking supplies for Thanksgiving dinner and getting ready for Book Club tomorrow!
