IWTV ate my brain π©Έπ§ββοΈπ₯° Single parent by day, social butterfly by night, and unflattered by fluorescent lighting. Trans & agender, any pronouns are fine. GenX who is hip with these kids today.

STUNNING.
Precisely! I don't love this show because of AMC or MJ, I love it because of Rolin's vision and guidance and the talents of the cast. And I love it because of the other creatives they hired to execute that vision... do you see a running thread here? I love the ART done by the ARTISTS, not ai slop!
Did you do those?! π€©π€©π€©
So for me, it does tremendously affect my enjoyment of it. Not everyone agrees with me on those issues though so of course it's going to be divisive, and that's okay! AMC isn't looking for our stamp of approval, but the opinions we voice online could get in front of some eyeballs and change things.
I think the conflict is whether people think that's okay to do, and if it should affect your enjoyment of the final product. I am ethically opposed to genai, I feel like having obvious ai artifacts left in looks sloppy and lazy, and I would prefer they give ai money to human artists instead.
You're so right, it's not all or nothing. If anyone is saying that a person sat down and said "make a Lestat music video" to whatever AI engine and this is what it spat out, obviously that's disingenuous. There's clearly a lot of human work that went into this AND they used ai as labor shortcuts.
Not surprising, but it is still disappointing to me. The video is very intense and beautiful and I enjoyed it so much the first time around, and now I feel like some of the shine is taken off of it - for me personally. I don't think we all have to agree on that, it's just individual opinions!
The paintings, columns, and stuff on the table in the screenshot I posted are good examples. Other people have posted Lestat's name at different points in the video where it's garbled. Given that they've contracted with an ai firm and that there's a TON of images in the video, it's not surprising.
So, I had intended to do a bunch of screenshots yesterday but I ran out of time. A bunch of people have done so on here and on reddit, probably elsewhere too. There's just a ton of things that are very common in AI generated imagery present in the video, not everything but more than a few.
No wonder he's looking so ripped, it's got to take a lot of core strength to keep your legs and chest up in that position!
He's clearly wearing that double ring to keep them in a useful position π
Wait, now I see it... upon zooming in, yeah, some of it's definitely ai. Ugh, it doesn't have to be this way! Human beings could have done all this and we wouldn't end up with rubberized monster part piles and wibbly-wobbly picture frames. Le sigh π©
Lots of ppl on ig are saying the promo is full of ai. Honestly, the imagery was so rapid I couldn't catch any of the usual tells and everything is so layered I don't know that I would be able to discern between ai and cgi anyway. Hopefully someone can make a definitive assessment or amc can clarify.
I kid, I jest. As one who also needs to sleep badly I will not encourage such behavior. Much.
Pssst... watch it again π
That's, uhhh, quite the screencap there. Look, I know the man's an excellent actor but... how the hell does Sam DO this, exactly?? It will never cease to amaze me just how *MUCH* bratty, cunty, seductive, mesmerizing energy he's able to conjure up to play the Brat Prince. Honestly, I am in awe.
I could subsist on this as my only food
If this is indicative of what we will receive, may god have mercy on our souls π±ππ

Give it 24 hours and we're going to have about a thousand new screenshots to choose from π
"Said the Vampire Lestat: '"All Fall Down" is mercifully only 68 seconds long. Thatβs 54 seconds more Daniel Hart than anyone should suffer. I like the harmonies on the chorus. I did those.'"

This may be the most maximalist thing I've ever seen! Gonna need to go through it in slow-mo a few times to see what all is hidden inside π€©π€©π€©

Ahhhh I totally forgot about those!
Wait, my brain is blanking - when did they redo the instrumental theme?
Hmmmmm that's an intriguing idea! I hadn't really thought about them having a new title sequence with the show name but that of course makes sense.
The more interviews I read with FranΓ§ois, the more I like him. He comes across as honest and thoughtful and seems very committed to living authentically regardless of fame. And at least in this magazine, regardless of pants πππ

Exactly, it made sense in the trailer but does it make sense in universe for him to have a song that's only one minute long? Mehhhhhh. I mean, I'm glad we got it and all, it is a bop. I just wish there was more of it, yanno?
This is so well done and sweet, everyone should go listen π₯Ήπ₯Ήπ₯Ή
This is basically what happened to me with plasma donation. I did manage it successfully a couple of times, then something about the needles got me freaked and I almost passed out twice in a row so they told me "maybe this isn't for you." Like, I was doing it for the money, not for the fun of it!
Okay so people have already posted it elsewhere, and I have to ask: why is it only one minute long?! Surely there's more to it than that, and I have no idea why they wouldn't post the whole thing.
