Just finished the first draft of my new WIP 🎉🎉🎉
Barely on here but enjoying a really productive writing month and hoping it lasts ✨
Given the timeframe, maybe Avatar Fire and Ash? Wondering how that one will turn out.
Thank you !

✨ Now querying ✨
Halfway through the edits of my WIP after receiving beta feedback! Should be able to start querying in August. Can’t wait ✨
#WritingCommunity
God good luck!!
Beta feedback is rolling in and being so helpful! Hoping to tackle edits in July for this WIP but let’s see 🤞🏻
In the meantime my brainstorming for my next WIP is going great ✨
I empathise… I had works done in my building from August last year to early May this year and it was a nightmare 😭 the first few months they were doing super loud stuff like breaking concrete and lots of drilling etc…
So close to being done with the edits of my new novel and I can’t wait to send it to my betas early next week!!
#WritingCommunity
The biggest of my edits are now done, and I just need to clean up the writing! And after that, my WIP will finally be off to beta readers ✨
Thank you so much ❤️ love that all my fellow writers can relate to that story 😂
Thank you so much!! I’m so glad you found the concept engaging ❤️
Thank you so much!
There are definitely some spooky things going on 😂
Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much ❤️
Nightmare right??
Text: An agent’s guide to The Ballad of Agnes Day, a 112k upmarket historical novel. Image: Two vintage-style mermaids with their tails entwined and a blood spatter across one corner.
The pitch: When a storms wrecks his islands’s passenger steamer, sparing only a girl believed to be one of the monstrous Finfolk, a grieving musician must uncover who she really is before more of his people die. Moodboard: Evil-looking mermaids, a violin, poisonous mushrooms and passenger steamers on stormy seas, with a moody blue-green hue.
Comps: The Sirens by Emilia Hart, Jamaica Inn by Daphne du Maurier, The Square of Sevens by Laura Shepherd-Robinson as book covers
The snippet: ‘Are you seeing this?’ he cried. ‘Do you see them?’ Dazed, Morton peered around him. All he could see was the black oil spill of the water, its steady surge and release. ‘What do you mean?’ he called back, blood thundering in his ears. Edward’s eyes grew glossy with tears. Then he began to jerk around like a petrified beast, causing the boat to lurch beneath them. ‘They’re everywhere,’ he said in terror and wonderment. ‘They’re coming for me.’
Twenty-five years ago, men made history. But HER story will change everything…
