We have been urging Columbia University to stand up for students’ rights and become a sanctuary campus. The arrest of a student in a Columbia residential building is exactly why we’ve been mobilizing and organizing. The University must fight for this student’s release.
Columbia is a community, but it is failing to ensure its students and neighbors feel safe. I refuse to accept a university that creates a climate of fear. It is time to protect our international students.
