Our home ed pupils enjoyed collecting colour data with VEX GO. They explored the eye sensor and some of its capabilities. In particular, how it can measure reflected light and "see" colour using the hue scale. #STEM #Edusky
STEM club pupils at Copley Primary School enjoyed making archways with @strawbees.bsky.social. They experimented with the size of the angles and learnt lots about structures. In particular, the pink group were proud of theirs and used it as a catwalk! #STEM #Edusky
STEM club pupils at St Malachy’s Catholic Primary School enjoyed this introduction to VEX GO. They worked collaboratively in small groups to build the robot base and then added a robotic arm. They learnt about motors and sensors while driving their robots and having lots of fun! #STEM #Edusky
STEM club children at Salterhebble Junior and Infant School created identical cubes using @strawbees.bsky.social and then connected them at slight angles to create arches. They learnt about structures and how strong, curved archways can be built from straight elements. #STEM #Edusky
Really enjoyed spending the day with Hellins Partnership schools and special guests at the Teach for Tomorrow conference. We had a lot of fun during my workshop too! It’s always amazing to see whole organisations prioritising #STEM and planning for it. #Edusky
