Glad to see I wasnβt the only one that vehemently hated this movie.
Was fortunate enough to catch GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN, DONβT DIE at Berlinale (it doesnβt open in Germany until mid-March). Absolutely loved this bonkers, batshit takedown of screen obsession and the promised AI-led technological utopia. Canβt wait to see it again.

Also part of the minority here β wish we had more stuff like this on a regular basis.
βHornt-upβ might be my new favorite descriptor.
Brick.
Thinking about Ryan Cooglerβs FRUITVALE STATION for no particular reason, certainly not related to current events.
My wife has a theory that if Michael B. Jordan wins Best Actor for SINNERS, he should get two statues. I support this.
Closeup of Amanda Seyfried in The Testament of Ann Lee
Nothing but respect for Amanda Seyfried, my Best Actress even if the Academy thinks otherwise. #TheTestamentofAnnLee
Really glad I was fortunate to see it, but the number of hoops required to jump through in order to make that happen was ridiculous.
16 oscar nods for sinners. The anti βwokeβ tantrum is gonna be off the charts
Oh goddammit.
Six Feet Under is way up there for me.
Matt Walsh tweeted last year: "We've spent the last 25 years bringing "freedom" and "democracy" to countries around the globe while our own country has been systematically invaded and now our largest cities are run by foreigners and communists. If you want to know why I'm so avowedly non-interventionist, this is why." Then he tweeted today: ""This is a war for oil!!!!!" First of all, the "war" lasted like 90 minutes. Second, going to war to secure vital resources for your own people is totally legitimate. Why should we allow some third world communist shithole to control trillions of dollars worth of oil?"
Laura Loomer tweeted last year: "Iβm America First, I donβt support βRegime Changeβ. I went on @Bannons_WarRoom to talk about Chinese aggression in Venezuela and why we need to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign Islamic terrorist organization." Then she tweeted yesterday: "Maduro has arrived at the DEA office in Manhattan. He was transported in an armored motorcade after being transported in a blindfold via helicopter & then by plane to New York after his compound in Caracas was raided by US Special Forces. Proud to be an American today! USA πΊπΈ"
Catturd tweeted last year: "Name one U.S. inspired regime change that hasnβt ended in absolute disaster." Then he tweeted yesterday: "Venezuela is now more free than New York City."
Will Chamberlain tweeted last year: "The Republican Party is no longer the party of regime change and endless wars If you want to be its standard-bearer that is a non-negotiable position" Then he tweeted yesterday: "I can think of few better uses of my tax dollars than black-bagging the head of a foreign narco-trafficking organization that enriches itself by addicting and poisoning my fellow Americans"
amazing how the entire machine can pivot within 24 hours. no need to slowly upsell the argument; just issue new marching orders
Badlands is a blast, watched it yesterday.
Heβs gonna get a babyface pop when his music hits in the finals.
Mox v Fletcher being better than Okada v Takeshita was a very welcome surprise.
Consider it done.
Forgot about the embargo lifting today for AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH (I thought it was happening tomorrow). Overall, I loved the film and Iβm excited to see it again tomorrow night β and possibly once more next week with my kiddo β but itβs not without shortcomings.

Rian Johnson clearly had a lot on his mind regarding the intersection of religion, politics and power when he wrote Wake Up, Dead Man. Razor sharp and funny as hell, naturally, but surprisingly poignant to boot. The cast is aces, but Glenn Close and Josh OβConnor are the MVPs.
What a shame. Tammie was always such a lovely person to interact with. My heart goes out to her family and loved ones.

Based on my memory of Deadwood, there was always someone working the bar and someone providing security, even in the wee hours. They never really closed completely.
Had a feeling youβd be there.
Elon Musk can't get humans to love him so he made a robot to love him instead and now all the humans are making fun of the robot. This is the smartest man in the world, a once-in-a-generation genius and clear member of the natural aristocracy
+1 for ONIBABA.
ππππ GOOD THINGS CAN STILL HAPPEN ππππ
This is fucking EXCELLENT.
Very straightforwardly detained by secret police for speech. I honestly don't know what establishment figures are telling themselves any more to avoid cognitive dissonance over this shit.
Congrats! Thatβs a hell of a milestone.
