One step can be local. Work to create something, be part of
programmatic or legislative reform. My county has citizen advisory boards for many departments, and public
planning processes. There at advocate groups, learn how decisions are made and when you can make an impact, do it with friends.
Disturbingly, who do they think are implementing the laws the legislative branch/their predecessors/themselves passed? Public servants are *doing* the work!
People who don’t live in the DC area have little idea of the mass panic and confusion folks are experiencing here. Everyone knows dozens and dozens of people who are being indiscriminately fired or who face the imminent threat of layoff. Imagine 1/2 of your neighbors facing this.
💯 forget ripples, there will be tsunamis hitting communities across the country. There are federal workers in every state, with concentrations across counties.
