Yep. I think it’s very unlikely, as you say, unless it’s recategorised as a tragedy chant …but if they did ban say 10 people a match, I think it would stop pretty soon. 🙂
Or hopefully to some improved awareness and understanding and better behaviour. Fans hate the idea of being banned. …but there’s a waiting list of 25000+ for season tickets if needed 😉
Thanks for responding. Clubs set their own ground rules associated with ticket sales. That could include a ban on the Savile chants I assume. I think away fans singing the chant is no more/less repulsive than our own fans responding to (and at times initiating) it. CCTV can identify offenders #lufc
My question for #lufc is: why can’t you announce that the chants breach ground rules and that anyone singing this vile chant will face a very long ban? Vast majority of fans would fully support this!
