A lay standing by a bike
Got around to putting screen tones on this. I bought an official Deleter knife to cut them and it does make things easier.

A woman standing by a bike
Work in progress. My method of drawing humans from ref doesn't work particularly well for mechanical things. I can always fall back on a vague knowledge of human anatomy to work a pose out, not so with a motorbike. I must've redone the wheels 20 times.

Three views of a lady in the mechanical counterpressure suit kitted out for long duration wear.
Concepts of mechanical counterpressure space suits always show them worn as an outer layer, but I think they'd be considered underwear. I see this one as meant for long duration wear in a harsh environment, hence the invasive waste processor and IVs for nutrients.

An illustration of a drink menu featuring some rowdy students.
An digital illustration I did for the menu of a back-to-school themed charity cocktail event a while back.
A couple admiring some of the Elgin Marbles
From a recent trip to the British Museum. Those ancient Greeks certainly knew what they were doing. The Brits too, but in more of a looting priceless historical artifacts kind of way I guess.

Vintage drafting gear
A ticket to the Cat Cafe
In a year when I've been inundated with AI slop Christmas images from friends and family, it seems more important than ever to hand make all my cards.

Hilda lounging on a couch with a pack of cigarettes and a couple beers.
Inspired by pinup Hilda and her physics-defying onesie. This time of year, all I'd like is to set up on the couch with a few cans and listed to records all evening but somehow I feel too lazy even for that.

A spooky skeleton in the forest with a spooky Christmas tree.
Even skeletons want to celebrate the holidays, I suppose.

A lettering scriber with all the bits intact.
A first, sad attempt at using said scriber.
A Christmas present to myself: A vintage lettering scriber. I've wanted one of these for ages. A Muji ballpoint pen cartridge will fit the scriber which makes practicing a bit less intimidating at least.
It's too bad they didn't make left-handed versions though.
I bought a 50 pack of that same Clic eraser in 2008 or so and am still making my way though them.
A work-in-progress image of a woman on a couch with a skeleton floating over her and some cats
WIP. I hardly ever remember to stop and take photos of things in progress. Also, I heard that extreme angles of faces are a meme or something right now. I hope up-nostril counts.

Love how clean your inking is!
A face and hands
Killing two birds with one stone by covering the parts of the drawing you don't like and finishing an old bottle of India ink.

A lady robot next to her car
I assume the mighty AE86 is the car of choice for robots everywhere. Probably should have used a ruler for all those straight lines. Oh well.

An astronaut and her coffee done in India ink and screen tones
Still on the astronaut and Deleter screen tone kick. The ref is from @trueref.bsky.social and was really fun to draw.

The aurora from May 10th, 2024
I'm jealous of all the aurora photos popping up. Nothing but rain in my neck of the woods right now but at least the weather cooperated for the big geomagnetic storm last year.
I love the fluidity of the figures!
A woman in a space suit consoling a pouting skeleton
Skeletons pout when they don't get to wear the space suit. Might try putting screen tones on this one.

Skeletons, my favorite subject!
I always wondered where that stuff came from
I'd be happy if I could wield a brush pen with half as much confidence as you.
Chii from the manga Chobits floating with some computers
I found this fanart of Chii, from a manga where computers look like schoolgirls, on an old SD card from 2004 or 2005. I recall selling this for the princely sum of 80 Canadian dollars.
Wish my anatomy had improved more in the last 20 years.

A lady and a member of the skeleton space program.
A bit late for Skeleton Season, but I'm still getting the hang of these screen tones.

A cat, a crow, a deer's skull, and a pumpkin all hanging out together.
I've drawn our cat, despite being the least spooky creature on Earth, every single Halloween for the last decade. I guess this year will be no exception.

Some school girls standing around looking at their phones.
First go around with Deleter Screentones. Not as intimidating as I feared though I think I'd do better with a sharper knife. Seemed fitting to draw some schoolgirls.

A moody cityscape
In Tokyo for a few days and looking forward filling my luggage with as many Deleter tones as will fit. Iโve always wanted to try them out but they cost like $30 a sheet back home.
A spooky skeleton
Aw geez, nearly a third of the way through October and I'm way behind on my skeleton quota.

A woman doing a hand stand
I've never tried drawing someone doing a hand stand before. Or wearing fishnet stockings. The ref was taken during an event where people sat on pies. On reflection, I think pies are better eaten than sat on, but there's no accounting for taste I guess.

An illustration I did for a Taco themed charity event a few years back. I assume Giant Taco said yes.
