The drawing was ink, but I had quickly digitally lettered it in Procreate at a pretty low res when I sent it as an offhand idea… which only goes to show, the toss offs are sometimes the gems.
So we had to use the photo I shot that day and it ended up being quite perfect.
A few months went by & I didn’t think about it again. One day I got a message from the label asking for a hi res version and I had no idea what they were talking about. They sent me that photo and I realized I had never scanned it before finishing the drawing and using it in the video.
Funny story about that cover. I was working on a drawing for the video and snapped a picture of it in process, sent it to Carl and offhandedly texted, “this would be a good cover”, he thumbed up the message and months went by when I didn’t think about it again.
First time I’ve ever live drawn a song I did the cover and video for.

I really would like to see them, and I bet it would be great—in ways both Meta and Being Here Now—but reading, in the New York Times, the notion that Oasis was ever in the business to “flatly reject nostalgia” made me spit out my English tea.
