Plot for James's next book maybe? I'm 2 chapters from the end of Pagans btw and have relished it.

Iβve done LinkedIn too where I have many more followers but donβt think youβre on there. X
Pagans, by my lovely friend, James Henry, writer of Green Wing ++ has vaulted into the Times bestseller lists. Strong recommend. lnkd.in/enppMWX8 & audio version coming soon. 2/2
Love a bit of comedy, but also partial to a good (fictional) murder & the ensuing police procedural. Imagine getting both within an alternate history where the Norman conquest never happened. 1/2
Easily done π
Overestimate?

Unbelievable. Donald Trump has been invited to a state visit to the UK. We should not be rolling out the red carpet to celebrate this man. Agree? Add your name to the petition today: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/no...
We can still show we stand with Ukraine stoptrump.org.uk/petition-can...
It's payday and after seeing that repulsive press conference I am donating again to Ukraine - plenty of options here: standforukraine.com
If you haven't watched #BigBoys you are missing one of the greatest bits of TV of the 21st century. Is that hyperbole? I don't think so. All 3 series available on C4 streaming. Comedy like this can address the big issues better than much 'serious' drama, maybe because it catches us unawares.
Compared to defence spending, increasing funding for public service broadcasting costs a pittance, yet provides "defence" of our core beliefs, common institutions and social cohesion than divisions, submarines and missiles ever will.

Graph showing health outcomes related to spending with the US doing the worst
This is pretty shocking. Make sure you look in the lower right hand corner.
Can someone please explain the wearing of hats indoors in #TraitorsUS?
Canβt be repeated often enough
βThe UKβs creative industries are vital to the economy. Valued at Β£124bn, they are worth more than the life sciences, aerospace and automotive industries combined. Arts and culture alone contribute an impressive Β£34.6bn.β

My first #ComicRelief #RedNoseDay launch last Wednesday, here with the founders & a few of my fellow trustees.
2025 is CRβs 40th anniversary & in that time itβs helped more than 100m people. But millions still need help in the UK and overseas so why not start thinking how you can be funny for money
I mean at the end of the day, Leanne and Jake were the REAL traitors π #TheTraitors #TheTraitorsUK #JusticeForAlexander
The Seer = poisoned chalice. Also final banishments will always continue until just 2 left, whether there are suspicions or nor, simply to maximise the cash. #TraitorsUK
βWelcome to the Traitors Uncloaked, a visualised podcast.β
Thatβll be a television programme then BBC. Youβve been making them for years. And you used to know how to hide microphones too.
If only you lived nearer... I make shedl oads of jams and chutneys with stuff from the garden and give it almost all away!
Excellent. Iβve made marmalade, lined some curtains and pruned some roses.
Misuse of reflexive pronouns: no 274 of things that annoy me but I have to stay quiet about in order not to come across like the pedantic tw*t I really am.
If you are tempted to watch Angelina Jolie as Callas, don't do it. Rather watch this brilliantly made documentary on her life by Clare Beavan, and find out why she really lost her voice. π
Late coming to #LaChimera, written & directed by #AliceRohrwacher. What a magnificent film. Orphic themes evident from the Monteverdi opening toccata but I think it owes as much to Cocteau as original myth. Seen no reviews mention Orpheus thoβ plenty of underworld talk. #JoshOConnor is such a star
Iβve clocked up more than 60 films for my #BAFTA voting. Did the big 2 yesterday, #TheBrutalist & #Anora Both excellent but nothing yet has moved me like #AllOfUsStrangers did last year.
I try to stay calm but itβs about now in the run-up to the 25th that I lose it over the plethora of snowflakes (on cards, wrap, decos) with 8 arms. They are hexagonal, people. Itβs physics! #HappyChristmas
More unexpected pleasure from my BAFTA film viewing. #DriveAwayDolls, from Ethan Coen and Tricia Cooke, described as a βlesbian road tripβ movie uses very familiar tropes & has met with mixed reviews. Itβs quite short (good) & slight(no probs) but I laughed out loud a lot and thatβs quite rare.
