A portrait of Astrid Schomaker, Executive Secretary of the Convention on Biological Diversity is also featured along with a quote: "The IPBES Assessment Report on Transformative Change [...] offers concrete strategies and actions to enable the fundamental changes needed to meet the targets of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF) and to fulfil the 2050 Vision for Biodiversity: Living in Harmony with Nature."
Probing obstacles to transformative change – including human practices and habits – contributes to charting pathways to a more just & sustainable world for people and nature.🌍🧪

Even if Norway dismantles the oil & gas industry, there is a need for new investment & there will be a lot of value creation (income).
Maintaining production at current levels requires massive investment in new areas & significant risk of stranded assets.

Today over 1/3 of 🌍 land surface are used for agriculture.
Food systems are a key contributor to nature loss and land degradation.
But we all need to eat and why we desperately need sustainable, resilient and inclusive agri-food systems.
Today at #COP16Riyadh I joined partners to discuss how.

Should California Subsidize Out-of-State Biofuels or In-State Electric Vehicles? - Kleinman Center for Energy Policy
Energy policy research from the University of Pennsylvania
Did you know how many billions of dollars California's Low Carbon Fuel Standard makes drivers pay to out-of-state biofuel producers?
Turns out it's a lot — a peak of about $2.9 billion in 2021, which is more than enough to give a $7500 rebate to all of the battery EVs sold in 2023.
