Pro: I was moving supplies so workers can access the ceiling to replace some fittings in preparation for updates to our HVAC system

Con: this work will take two years (over the summers) to complete, and i do not expect better office temps before it's done

A handheld lab data acquisition computer with a temperature probe reading 81.5°F (27.5°C) in my office

This is a less good thing about my office

Also I just spent an hour in the room across the hall (similar temperature) going up and down a ladder to move boxes of supplies

Might need to go outside and lay on the sidewalk in the rain to cool off

Today was a faculty member I've worked with for years, and I learned about his sister, who does paint and pastel portraits, and it was a lovely conversation 😊

I will never, ever get tired of that moment when people who've been in my office a million times realize that the pictures on my wall are things that I drew

I'm skeptical 😒

This week is being very inconsiderately long, and I don't like it 😒

Another busy, exhausting day that had the *audacity* to not be Friday...

Ugh, I feel this - I get up at 5-5:30 am, and the temptation to go to sleep at 7 pm has been STRONG for at least a couple of weeks now 😴😴😴

Watching Make Some Noise, being sleepy, counting the days until spring break

I've heard rumors of people who "sleep" for the entire night and then "feel rested"

I technically don't have the time off.... But I also won't be allowed to come to my office (building closed for construction-related things)

So at least I'll be working (or "working") from home
