Britain did have a world-class navy, and Bletchley. But the fate of Europe was decided by more powerful countries.

Britain did not march on Berlin. The Red Army did. And the American army (with Britain helping out with this US-led attack).

This is misleading: any govt with its own currency is never constrained by money itself. Can only be constrained by resources & labor.

So real question would be what better use do we have for the resources & labor tied up in the Iran rampage?

Imperialism was never driven by a desire to help the colonised. Non-European countries were simply conquered and pillaged and it was all justified by branding them as "inferior" races.

The US saved Western Europe from Stalin.

Many people have a very flexible sense of morality and a narrow, short-term perspective. Appeasement seems such a little, inconsequential thing for (claimed) short-term gains

Others understand some compromises cannot ever be made. Will only make things worse, long-term

Those are the only two choices: help US military attack Iran or tell Trump to go forth & multiply.

So:

1. US war has led to British bases are being attacked

2. We should support & continue this war in order to.. er.. *prevent* Britain from being attacked.
