Trump’s illegal war in Iran is increasing people’s cost of living. Gas prices are up. Mortgage rates are up.

And the Republican Congress, as usual, is refusing to do anything about it. They continue to give Trump a blank check to do whatever he wants for his own benefit.

So much for that grift. Today 52 of 53 Republican Senators opposed limiting Trump’s ability to wage this illegal war.

Trump isn’t waging this war for Iranians or Americans. He’s doing it for himself.

The Board of Supervisors voted 11-0 to support our bill to help SF break up with PG&E.

Over time PG&E slipped poison pills into CA’s eminent domain law to make it harder to form a publicly owned utility. SB 875 removes those poison pills.

SF deserves a fair process as it moves toward public power.

You unleashed DOGE to destroy State Department capacity & this is the result. Total incompetence & Americans are paying the price. In coming years, we’ll see more & more messes like this across the federal government due to agencies having been gutted by DOGE.

I’ve been riding Muni, BART & Caltrain since 1997. Transit is San Francisco’s backbone. We must never take these systems for granted & I’ve fought hard to fund them & make them better.

I’ll continue that fight in Congress.

As Trump leads us into a chaotic regional war in the Middle East for which he has no plan, let’s not forget he’s also:

Raising people’s costs

Throwing people off health care & food assistance

Slashing science funding

Destroying the clean energy industry

Mass deporting people

Forcing teachers to out LGBTQ students to their parents puts kids’ lives at risk. Some will die. Some will get kicked out & become homeless. Some will be sent to conversion therapy.

The choice to come out to one’s parents belongs only to the kid & is no one else’s damn business.

Trump just triggered a broadening regional war in the Middle East & only after doing so & after the airports closed down, tells Americans to book commercial flights to come back to the U.S.

This inept regime has no plan. It’s all shoot from the hip. So many will pay the price.

We biked and walked through what is now officially the largest pedestrianization project in California history.

Multiple things can be true:

1. Congress must vote to stop Trump’s illegal Iran war.

2. Trump decapitated the regime but has no plan to stabilize Iran.

2. Don’t mourn fascist Khamenei. He mass murdered Iranians, collapsed the economy & exported terror & chaos. He was vile.

Not Russia. Not China. Not global terrorism. Not the veteran suicide epidemic.

Rather our meathead “Secretary of War” focuses on … kicking trans kids out of the Boy Scouts & all other youth organizations.

These people are absolute psychopaths.

This is vile but tragically not surprising. We’ve seen broad-based normalization of anti-Jewish rhetoric & stereotypes online, in political & community spaces, in schools & on college campuses.

It’s beyond dangerous. The normalization & acceptance of antisemitism must end.

Today I announced new legislation to allow San Francisco to break up with PG&E and form its own publicly owned utility.

It's time for this monopoly the come to an end. We must value people over shareholders.

I had such a great time at the California Democratic Party Convention this weekend. And even though I accidentally ghosted my incredible Senior Organizer, it's okay, because the dow is at 50K.

BREAKING: The CA Democratic Party — its 3,500 grassroots delegates — voted to endorse me for Congress! Our local SF grassroots delegates previously voted 77.5% to endorse me.

Onward to the fight for our democracy & for bold policies to make people’s lives more affordable.
