Moved my parents in with me, so life has been chaotic and downtime to create has been impacted. But designing is still my stress outlet - here are the new badge reels I made to add to my holiday collection (even if a little late).

Branching out to other specialties…revisiting anesthesia though its a struggle…(I’m not sure if gynecology just has that much more to pull from or since it’s my own specialty it’s just an endless well of badge reel inspiration 😊)
I just learned that Dr Bookwalter passed away a few days ago. While I never met him, his abdominal surgical retractor is my favorite for open surgery (so much so that one of my first badge reels I designed was in its honor). Rest in peace, thank you for the legacy you left behind
Nothing gives me more joy than being able to give back a little to the community who has supported me the most. Bad business plan 😂, but great way to connect with old and new friends.

I passed off the badge reels I made of Green Bay, WI to my husband.

Apparently I made Bay City, MI 🤦🏻♀️. So, if you know anyone from there tell them to message me because I have 3 reels I can send them lol
One of my first/most popular design: after they tried to replace my precious Ligasure with a subpar sealing device. It started as a multilayered acrylic/wooden badge reel, but sadly didn’t hold up to normal wear and tear. Redesigned into new reels and socks; next up, scrub hats!
This is a perfect example of where ideas come from. At the grocery store, I saw a magazine cover with a jellyfish. “I want to make a reel with a jellyfish; something about jelly!”….most of my designs never come to fruition because I realize quickly how ridiculous they are 🤦🏻♀️
New series….likely going to make some for other specialties and maybe even branch out from healthcare? But here’s where I started 😊

Did you know that I live in the city where cheez-its were created!?!
New design up in the Etsy store. Over the next few days I’ll be posting the new designs I (finally) had time to actually put into fruition.
After a chaotic day in the OR Friday, I really wanted to make this. Never in a million years did I imagine I’d be using my 7 years of design school to draw cheez-its….but here we are (not going to lie, pretty proud of how that cheez-it turned out 😂).

New logo, who dis?
After a holiday hiatus, we’re finally going to be opening Etsy back up this weekend after finalizing new designs.
I felt a rebranding was in order, so created a new logo…My husband prefers the old logo (2nd pic), what do you all think?
I feel like my life has come full circle. I just found out the company that made my stereo cassette Walkman in the 80s now makes gynecologic instruments 😂 #casio
