It's as though I'm just waiting for someone to appear out of nowhere and say, "Don't you remember me? We're childhood friends who've liked each other this whole time, and I'm also a beautiful butch lesbian who will treat you RIGHT! Let's get married!" Of course, this is never gonna happen...

I'm sure that finding a partner will take much more effort, more tough conversations, and a LOT more stepping out of my comfort zone.

But for now, I can't help but wonder if a miracle could come true for me, too.

It doesn't help that I'm a hopeless romantic, but when only about 1% of the population is in my dating pool, romance - especially sapphic romance - feels like a miracle.

Sometimes, I wonder if I even WANT a partner, or just the "street cred" that comes with it. There's a sense of voyeurism that I feel when I see any couple... Society sees you differently.
