Oops I forgot to post that I went to the ozarks to see Hot Springs NP to see great views like the inside of a cloud, and the inside of a cloud, or the inside of a cloud. (Jokes about weather aside, it was a fantastic trip. Missouri and Arkansas have some fantastic state parks and national forests)
I was also really curious to see what kind of a spread the data fell under. The data-sheet is dense, so I will have to do it Tomorrow when my brain is fresh. However, I feel like this type of data would really benefit from some data visualization to make it easier to share and understand quickly.
First time at the Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge near Des Moines, and I had a blast. It’s definitely making me consider giving wildlife destinations a higher weight when choosing future trips.

Had an excellent Double Destruction (IYKYK) night with @joywave.bsky.social at wooly’s in Des Moines last night. In this crazy world we live in, don’t forget to support local small venues and smaller artistic scenes where you can. Bonus, the tickets will be way cheaper than the stadium events!

First shorts weather hike of the year. Pammel State Park, Iowa, backbone trail. Pairs well with visiting the covered bridges of Madison County. I’m ready for the brown to become green, and maybe do some foraging.
I once saw one of these guys cross the road at night, just outside of wind cave NP. You could barely see him. When he made it up the hill he was a perfect silhouette in the blue, moonlit sky. I will never forget that, it was wild. The photo just doesn’t do the experience justice.
