sorry for the text dump omfg 😭 also sorry if u werent looking for all this advice asgdhf this is just usually what i keep in mind when looking at different brands myself

like i said i usually try to choose brands that use the least amount of ingredients as possible and if the food still looks like real food >>> even better, also i generally avoid dry food altogether bc its extremely fattening and can cause heart and kidney issues regardless of the brand

when looking at canned food i wouldnt buy anything that includes any sort of animal byproducts, bone meals, anything artificial, thickening agents (carrageenan, xantham gum, guar gum etc), anything with grains or soy or legumes, anything with preservatives, plant oils (sunflower oil etc)

ya ofc! yeea its hard to know what to look for, especially when cats get picky and need individual diets xP if u have a vet for them i would recommend discussing their diets with the vet cuz they can let you know how much to feed based on their size and weight and other conditions but if not then

i use the brands reveal (if u feed whole food) and wellness (if u feed wet food), but they might be a little more expensive bc theyre healthy/natural (i tend to lean towards brands that use less ingredients), one of my cats is picky too and ive had to cycle thru a few different brands for her T_T
