It's common sense: all of us deserve to be protected from chemical disasters. But Trump's EPA plans to roll back the Risk Management Program (RMP) putting corporate polluters ahead of its obligation to protect workers & families. Let them know enough is enough. Chemical Plants Keep Exploding, but Trump’s EPA Is Rolling Back Safety Rules Anyway For places like Hopewell, Virginia, where industrial accidents are routine, fewer protections could mean more danger for families living nearby.

β€œFor fenceline communities and facility workers, this rollback is a declaration that our lives are deemed acceptable sacrifices,” said Ana Parras of @tejasbarrios.bsky.social

Trump’s First EPA Promised to Crack Down on Forever Chemicals. His Second EPA Is Pulling Back. EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin claims to prioritize combatting long-lasting chemicals called PFAS. Despite this, the agency has delayed enforcement of standards and terminated over $15 million in fundin...

8/ It's yet another example of how dismantling EPA’s independent research paves the way for deregulation that harms our health. EPA has rolled back limits for PFAS in drinking water at the same time they're cancelling millions of dollars in grants for research on the health effects of PFAS exposure.

This proposal makes it easier for toxic chemicals to enter our food, water, homes, and schools. Chemical safety protections help prevent cancer, infertility, learning disabilities, & other harms linked to toxic exposures. Congress should protect families and communities, not polluters.

RMP facilities could also be let off the hook for having to conduct third-party safety audits after reporting a single accident.

That's not "common sense" -it's an irrational concession to industry at the expense of public health.

Republican House bill guts laws protecting US consumers from toxic chemicals Bill limits type of science used to determine health risks and gives industry major role in chemical review process

⚠️ Public health protections are under threat. A House bill would weaken #TSCA by limiting the science EPA can use, removing requirements that chemicals be proven safe, and giving industry more sway over chemical reviews.

Congress must reject this bill and protect our health from toxic chemicals.
