Internet pornography would be blocked before reaching household computers under a future Labor Government, Opposition Leader Kim Beazley has pledged. At present, two-thirds of Australian households lack internet filters, and youngsters are increasingly being exposed to inappropriate material. Mr Beazley announced on March 21: "Under Labor, all internet service providers (ISPs) will be required to offer a filtered 'clean feed' internet service to all households, and to schools and other public internet points accessible by kids." "Labor's 'clean feed' system," said Mr Beazley, "would prevent users from accessing any content that has been identified as prohibited by the Australian Communications and Media Authority, including sites containing child pornography, acts of extreme violence or cruelty, and X-rated material."
Well Kim Beazley was eventually correct about it happening under a future Labor government

Fun to speculate though. I think there's a case for HSR pulling regional residents to international airports. Not familiar with that airport though, having only been twice.
Interested where the northern stops would go. I'd think Taree, Coffs, Byron Bay hinterland, Gold Coast Airport.

Anyway, bunch of great reporting on this subject from Donna Page at the Newcastle Herald www.newcastleherald.com.au/story/919055...
It turns out cowboy coal miners were competitively undermining the suburb, in secret, leaving barely any structure to hold up the ceiling. When an adjacent creek broke into one colliery, they were all inundated and abandoned. To this day they're filled with water from rain and broken pipes.

There's a local bloke who at first glance seems like a single-issue crank, but it turns out the government's been lying to him repeatedly since 2012, having known for 20 years that he's right about mining damage in the area.
