Me too, so the article didn’t surprise me but it’s still worth reading to confirm what a prick he is.
I am begging, absolutely begging, people who follow this absolute charlatan to read this piece & unfollow him. For #LFC supporters, his behaviour in the aftermath of Diogo Jota’s death, and the way that he *appeared* to be trying to monetise it, should’ve been reason enough to stick him in the bin.
12.4% of Premier League goals have been scored by one-goal men this season.
25.6% of the 39 Liverpool have conceded fit this bill. Weird, isn't it?
It's just one of many oddities in the Reds' 2025/26 season. I've compiled them here:

arne slot in a dark blue jacket shouting and gesticulating with his right hand
"Quick, blame the manager!" shouts Virgil van Dijk, after being meek in the challenge for Wolves' first. "I agree!" chimes in Mo Salah, following his poor pass to Szoboszlai. "Me too!" agrees Curtis Jones in the wake of his pass to Alisson. Read more here: www.andcouldheplay.com/lets-all-bla...

There are far too many things wrong with #LFC this season to suggest that it should all be laid at Arne Slot's door. He hasn't been perfect, but nobody has been & blaming the entire thing on the Dutchman lets too many players off the hook. Read more: www.andcouldheplay.com/lets-all-bla...
virgil van dijk looks away as alexis mac allister covers his face with his shirt
So many things have gone wrong for #LFC this season, some of which are understandable given what happened in the summer & some of which simply aren't acceptable. Last night falls more into the latter category, but blaming it all on Slot is too easy. More: www.andcouldheplay.com/lets-all-bla...
For my money, we as a team are shit when we’ve got a ref who isn’t giving us anything. We go down expecting a foul because other teams get them, but we’re never going to. We need to be better at getting on with it.
No, he’s not. But in my opinion he should’ve done better for their first, which is what this was about originally.
It’s more about the fact that people are moaning about the sterile possession, so they’re only going to get more of it.
mo salah trying to hold off wolves players
The #LFC manager has had a far from faultless season, but blaming him for results like last night lets the players off the hook. It wasn't tactics, it was just underperformance from players who should be so much better. Read more: www.andcouldheplay.com/lets-all-bla...
That’s all fair. My main concern over him is that the thing that Slot is most criticised for this season is the style of play, but I’m not convinced that Alonso gets them playing a significantly more attractive style of football. Very much from th Guardiola school of dominant possession.
I think he’s waning & we’ve seen it a number of times this season. He’s never getting a foul for that, but he goes down easily IMO thinking he’ll get a soft one.
a wolves player celebrates as a stunned curtis jones looks on
I'm surprised to read so many people say that last night was the straw that broke the camel's back in terms of wanting the #LFC manager sacked. For me, too many players underperformed & blaming Slot lets them off the hook. Read my latest piece here: www.andcouldheplay.com/lets-all-bla...
Obviously I don’t agree. He was at the crime scene not for the first time this season.
Me on that. “Quick, blame the manager!” shouts a Virgil van Dijk who was pathetic for the opener, joined by Jones playing a terrible ball to the ‘keeper for their second & a Mo Salah who completely fucked up the chance to make it 2-1.
I wonder whether any of the people obsessed with this bellend’s ability to tweet other people’s transfer news will have even a moment’s pause over the fact that he’s always been a self-serving prick who continues to shill on behalf of a murderous nation state.
lol, as if they would.
Thanks mate.

Picture of Marjane Satrapi alongside a quote from her. The quote reads: The world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we don't know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you. And our governments are very much the same... - Marjane Satrapi, Iranian-French graphic novelist
Thinking about this quote from Persepolis creator Marjane Satrapi again.
