Gotcha.
It feels like I just learned a new magic trick.
Ah, this looks magnificent.
Even better with all the Dominion expansions on the shelves.
I can't wait for Arcana to come out this year.
And the Conservation track marker has to be pushed to the highest appeal track number on the space it lands? Or am I remembering incorrectly? Then you subtract?
Oh! Now I see it. I knew it was something of that nature, but I just never understood the whole which one you have to subtract.
It's just the distance between the two markers?
I play this on BGA and the scoring makes no sense there, and even less sense in the IRL games I've played.
I can't wrap my head around it. Everything else I really like.
So can't speak to Hot Streak since haven't played it, but know the concept enough. In Magical Athlete you are beholden to a dice roll, but the agency you have is which character you will put forth to play against the powers of the other player characters. It can be very random though.
Funny thing about this one. When I first heard of it I wanted to back it, but seeing some rules explanations and playthroughs it just didn't click for me so I decided to skip it.
Tried it today and frankly I like it a lot.
Sometimes even after plenty of research, some games slip away.

First play. Hilariously unserious and it's to its credit.
Full stop, I won't back anything if AI art has been used. There's been a couple of games I was considering backing where it was hard to tell who the artist was and it just makes me feel they hide that info on purpose because there is no artist. That right there stops me from even considering it.
we put the human made logo on the kickstarter page because we don't use ai in our works. also we're eco-conscious and do our best to avoid plastics.
still have a little bit more of the ks page to doll up, will probably keep pecking at it all day. remembered to add the human made logo at the bottom tho! (almost forgot! lol)

It's brain burny in all the right ways. You want to take all the animal cards, but you need to keep your board clear as long as possible so you don't end the game early.
Always feel you are one or two turns short of a mega point haul.
Finished board state in Harmonies.

Still getting the hang of it.

Second play of this and I can see why it's addictive.
I have not, but maybe I should fix that. I have been recommended Patterns before but just have not had a chance to try it.
Highlight of the month?
Zenith would be it for me.
Mandala is such a great game. Everyone should try it once.
PDX*
Interested in PD with their Kickstarter in full effect. Still deciding if it's for me.
MLS butchered The Wrap-up. It's just a highlights package now.
I think it might be prudent not to support review sites as a designer because as benign as it might look to you to give money as patronage, from the outside it could be misconstrued as a kickback if ever they decide to review a game of yours.
It's a can of worms for sure.
