also they make good quality safety collars now, even outdoor ones. they don’t all just fly off if the cat scratches their neck anymore
if your animal is wheezing, whistling, or cannot bend their head to sleep in a natural pose you need to make an adjustment. you shouldn’t have to shimmy your knuckles under the collar to barely meet the two finger guideline
several times I’ve had to make a welfare request for cat caretakers to loosen their pet’s tight, heavy, leather non-safety collars. I am genuinely getting concerned and the defensiveness and excuses have been unacceptable in each of these instances. it’s starting to upset me

looking to get Monet (5+ year old male ball python) a Toad Ranch enclosure. He has been in a 40 gal tank for a while now and it's been tricky to keep his humidity at the right level consistently with the screen lid. He deserves a home upgrade
