timeless art is not a product

timeless art is not a product
can't believe it's already been 5 years since I released this www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyjc...
(Jack off motion)
Yeah i really wanna watch a 3 and a half hour take down of Humpty Dumpty. Duhhhhh (Jack off motion) Ok. Wheres the part where I give a fuck
alysa liu is EXACTLY who she thinks she is
why are we developing ai for music, when we still haven't truly mastered the art of sampling yet? it's like trying to skip ahead a few chapters in a book -- nah man, we still gotta read the rest to understand what's happening.
this must be how old people felt when the internet was invented, lol.
if I ever become rich, the first thing I'm gonna do is dump thousands of dollars into making physical editions for every single one of my albums, then just leave them at random flea markets / garage sales for ppl to find lol
I just released a sequel album to "κοσμική ακτίνα"!
kind of want to make this a series, for this year at least. would be nice to release some smaller mixtape-esque albums while I focus on gamedev.

debating whether or not I want to make movement in this game insultingly slow, so you have to look at every screen for an extended period of time ... hehe
progress is moving smoothly but a lil slowly, mostly due to life stuff. here's a wireframe shot of the whole world with all the high-detail meshes removed. I'd say it's about 40% complete now.
have a screenshot of an unfinished, foggy cave as a bonus!
#gamedev #indiedev #aisling
since I don't want to spoil any more of what the game will look like, since wandering & looking around is the whole point, I'll just post a vague wireframe of the world instead lol! #gamedev #indiedev
also the game will be called Aisling, goal is to have it released sometime this year (hopefully)
most of the time when I'm making a song, I don't worry about if it sounds good or not, I only care if it sounds interesting
heavy metal already feels like an all-time classic album, find myself randomly quoting it at least once a week.
It could be the nostalgia talking, but I feel like skate vids from the 80s/90s with their underexposure and oversaturation have such a specific, painterly almost abstract vibe.
just finished a new seamless slush album, titled "κοσμική ακτίνα"!
a lil sideproject I was working on alongside my last album
the song "spirit of the radio" was actually the original version of this, but I decided to rework it into that album instead. anyway enjoy!

hey thanks! love that game
gameplay is mostly just getting lost and experiencing the world -- I like to make games more focused on atmosphere & art than mechanics
going to try to refrain from posting more screenshots until the game is close to complete, because walking around looking at stuff is basically the whole point
getting lost in the sewers #gamedev #indiedev
so far I'd say the world I'm designing for my game is about 15-20% complete, want to keep it small & condensed this time around. we'll see if that percentage reflects in a faster dev time or not, lol.
made a skybox, then started working on this underground waterway (unfinished & floating in the void). the final shot is from an angle you would never see in-game, but I thought it looked cool so w/e #gamedev #indiedev
this is gonna be another game where you just wander around, except it's framed as a dungeon crawler instead.
I'll go into more detail about how the in-game scenes are constructed at a later point, but it's pretty involved & based off an idea I had about 3 years ago.
so I textured a bit of the environment & added some (intentionally) really ugly trees, then started to work on how I want to render the game itself. I kinda want to go for something really really low resolution & heavily posterized--I like how it makes your brain fill in the gaps. #gamedev #indiedev
I want to play the second game but unfortunately my PC can barely emulate ps2 games, so I'll have to wait until a later date. I've heard from a lot of people it's way better than the first game, though.
well I just beat klonoa for the first time and my god, what an amazing game. feels like the last truly great, """old-school""" 2d platformer.
oh I forgot to mention that it's slushwave too ... but that kinda goes without saying for me anyway, lol
my newest album, Within Arm's Reach, is out now!

genres: winter synth, ambient, new age, noise, christmas music (kinda)
as usual, I made art for every track. you can see them by clicking on the song in bandcamp.

I think I will remove the wetri水 itchio page at some point in the future. I may reupload mini pacman to fat lazy cat, but there's no guarantee -- the design doesn't align with what I actually want to achieve long-term.
so if you have access, consider downloading it. it might become lost media.
yeah so, I've decided that I will continue releasing games under fat lazy cat moving forward.
the success of my game rapture island was kind of unexpected -- at the time I felt like it would be easy to leave the name behind, but now I don't think I can.
the brand kind of just organically formed.
cover for my next album, will probably be out soon
pre-rendered graphics with poor texture mapping and repeating ugly textures is peak aesthetic, honestly
