Oh dear. They seem to have deleted their post. Can't think why.
The ruling IS law. Good grief.
Hello. I see you have been posting since I posed my question. What is your response to the FWS ruling? Surely you have a view on this?
Excellent piece by @siennarodgers.bsky.social on Labour's not-quite-payroll vote (mission champions, trade envoys, etc. etc.)
Jolyon Maugham KC has blocked me, but posted that the guardian article about Melanie Field shows UKSC in FWS v Scottish ministers is constitutionally wrong. For a KC to suggest something so legally illiterate in statutory interpretation is bizarre. My explanation why medium.com/@scott-wortl...
@fawcettsociety.bsky.social Hello. Have you anything to say about last week's ruling by the UK Supreme Court in the case of For Women Scotland vs the Scottish Ministers?
I don't wade into these issues much, but given the Sullivan review has been getting a lot of attention, I'll say this. I regard Alice Sullivan as an excellent social scientist, who has for years campaigned for one simple objective: clear recording of biological sex separately from gender ID.

Tomorrow I'll present to Parliament The Jimmy Lai Bill: a bill to guarantee consular assistance to British journalists detained or held hostage overseas. In an increasingly dangerous world, where authoritarian strongmen fear scrutiny, we must protect those seeking the uncorrupted truth.

Terrific piece by @jburnmurdoch.bsky.social on what I think is a real (and alarming) trend: the decline of face-to-fact interaction.
I'm here for the typo. π
