I blame the Writers Guild strike of 2007-2008. It created a rush of cheaply-made, producer-scripted slop like The Apprentice, which rehabilitated the public image of a tacky real-estate scam artist.

I learned to drive in a '72 Olds Cutlass! It was my mothers - her boyfriend had a 442 but he never let me drive that one :P
I had a '77 Marquis, 400. Color: "Merlot" Oh yeah...two doors, each 4 feet long and about 120lbs apiece. Red velour bench seats with plenty of room for activities.
I got it in '85 from a friend for $250 with a giant stripe of Bondo included ;) I really liked that car...
Whoever is paying for it, Trump will still find a way to cheat on those tax statements...
She'd just copy someone else's testimony ;)
I can't wait to see who gets their Lunar Lander ready for a low earth orbit test. I haven't been looking *super* hard, but I also haven't seen anything resembling hardware that could be launched by next year.
I've heard of LSS testing, but no usable vehicles as of yet.
Anyone?,...Anyone?...
One thing that's always blown my mind is that when we're looking at an image of a spiral galaxy, like this one here (UGC 11537), the light from the far side of the galaxy has taken an extra 100,000 years or so to get here. So, the stars in the back have traveled about 80 light years in that time.
Yeah, because companies were reporting how many "illegals" they were hiring...STFU.
And don't forget, all those "illegals" were applying for unemployment benefits when they'd get laid off.
FFS, they lie so blatantly, and good ol' MAGA just keep sucking it up like tilapia in a fish farm.
Mobile recipe sites are the worst! In fact, most mobile sites are almost unusable, when using the normal Google search and browsers.
I use Firefox on Android because it allows adblockers - that allows me to actually read the recipes without having to find the worlds smallest X to close the popups :P
Also, if you want to see what a fully-GOP wet dream government runs like, just take a look at post-invasion Iraq.
No thank you!
I really hoped that three years would have been enough time to figure this one out...
A Feast for Crows is pretty brutal...good luck with it!
Technically, a bruise is internal bleeding.
In that case, I suffered internal bleeding when a box spring was dropped on my big toe.
Should I have shot the person who was helping me move it?
Oh wait, I was alone...
I distinctly remember driving back from Logan Airport in my mom's Beetle and having water shoot up through the floor when we went through puddles on Rt 128. Cardboard only lasts for the way down, not the way back...lol!
I'm afraid I'd be too similar to a Trekkie at a convention, asking super specific questions like "What's the maximum escape velocity of an accreting neutron star when it's at its maximum mass before becoming a black hole?"
My mom had a 70's Beetle with one of those passenger dash grab handles. Perfect for a kid to hang on to while standing up as we go to the store. I mean, why else would they have put it there?
I don't know, those bench seats sure did come in handy back in the '80s ;)
My Google Music Wrapped asked if I would like it to create a new genre based on my listening preferences...it took about 3 minutes and just gave up :)
Despite everything else, a 50kg tank full of liquid that can be refilled in under 5 minutes vs 500kg of batteries that requires 20-40 minutes to charge makes a strong argument to the person who's never had to deal with anything else associated with an internal combustion engine.
To this day, I've never been able to re-read "The Infinitive of Go" by John Brunner. It was fun, right up until the end...and then...
Has anyone else ever had a book do this to them?
You could write a song called Architecture...and then people could dance to it :)
I'd love to see a micro-camera on the car so you can do a FPV modification.
Justified! Now do Trump...
How is this Vandenberg!? I can see more than 30 feet ahead...you must be mistaken ;)
$1M a plate "Charity Balls".
Because, you know, the Trump family has such a great history with charities.
My mother and step-dad did this. She showed up to work (I was the dishwasher, she the manager/bartender) and told me. I was surprised but (at the time) glad; he seemed like a cool guy. I didn't find out about his sleeping with a bunch of wives from his marriage counseling gig until after she died.
Solution: Put away the iPad, take out the LEGO!
