Nice while it lasted
How nice, a goal
How nice, an outbreak of passes in the midfield
Take off Palhinha and replace him with someone who can pass the ball better, for instance a training mannequin
At least I’ve got my next pre-game team talk sorted now
If you’re getting sent off for serious foul play, then I’m pretty certain it should be pretty clear straight away it’s serious foul play, not after consulting a slowed down replay after basically no one appealed for anything other than a foul
Every Spurs game the commentators just decide to talk about how rash Romero is as he’s just casually zipping balls between the lines whilst they talk, and they never notice
Nought point nought seven ex gee
Still, good news about the defence being sorted out
This is the absolute pits
An all timer of a poor performance
I think 11 mannequins would probably have kept us to around that in all honesty
Nought point nought five ex gee
Yeah, a ball struck hard to the side/back of head easily
In the last year I think I’ve had 6/7 concussions to players I coach, most of the time they are adamant they can play on. Our medical staff are completely correct in taking no risks there
I’d have some sympathy for this argument had we attempted any intricate passing play this season so far!
Yeah I think this game unfolds like that if it was in ordinary conditions?
I say this as someone who was keen on Frank following Ange, but this is absolutely miserable football
It didn’t mean anything it was deflection. Had we been even a below par set piece team in 23/24 we’d have made the Champions League and things may have been a whole lot different
Feels like it!
Stoke Zero
Is it possible that when Ange said set pieces were something he had to build into his open play idea, that Thomas Frank is the direct inverse to this?
Signed him at the same time as Kuluchevski
Which is funny as Hoddle was once a player-manager
Glenn Hoddle the player would be completely wasted in Glenn Hoddle the pundits ideal version of football
We are allergic to the middle of the pitch
Our build up play is:
1) Lose the ball
2) Play Kudus back to goal with a straight pass and hope he can magic something up
I am starting to see the doubts about Frank’s ability to coach possession football
Someone else who can pass the ball other than Romero would be nice
Watching Son’s goal there has reminded me that we’ve not put up his statue yet, which seems an oversight
