it doesnt really clock to them that most protestors accept arrest or death as a possibility of their actions. the jan 6th prosecution was a huge shock to the rw media ecosystem because it had never really occurred to them that “daddy” could come down on THEM.

they love posting protestor mugshots (and ai editing to make them look sadder!) because getting punished by “daddy” (what they unironically call trump now??) is one of the worst fates they can imagine, so seeing it happen to their ideological enemies is a source of trangressive joy

came to the realization that most right wingers don’t really want to kill liberals/lefties themselves. the jouissance comes from getting to watch someone else, representing an authority figure, kill the lib. it’s a violent cuck fantasy
