I find the absolutely basic everyday failings of AI honestly pretty fascinating. I use it as a shortcut at work but woe betide anyone who doesn't check and double check every single syllable it generates, because it's right only very slightly more often than it's wrong.
So I asked AI to critically evaluate something I said about the Catcher in the Rye. It asked a follow up question, and I said yes. It then went into a spiral where it couldn't discus the novel at all. I asked it to override its glitch; same result. Then I said it was useless and it sorted itself out

Because yes, many adults are fakes and phoneys, which is annoying as hell. This places a huge burden on himself, at the time he's expected to set out on his own journey to adulthood and independence. He can't do that in a world he mistrusts and fears; yet rather than whine, he turns that fear not inward but to the most innocent, vulnerable and trusting people in the world.
All art is interpretation, obviously, but if you read what I said and still think he's just a whiny teen, then it's like we read different books both times. He imagines himself as the only one who can physically catch and save young children from being hurt by the world; that is heartbreaking.
I always saw him as just a whiny teen. But now I feel differently: he's damaged, can't cope and the place he thought he had in the world no longer makes sense to him. He resorts to being anti-everything because he wants to save those younger than him from being disappointed by the world like he was.

Political fraud is next to non-existent in this country. Voters are already required to show ID when voting. Being foreign born does not mean you cannot vote. This is outright racism from Reform. All political parties should be widely condemning Farage's claims.
