i feel like all the americans i know just randomly have holidays and stuff and finish the school year in like the middle of the year or smth

australian school is like, starts at the end of january, then it just goes until around december with 4 terms and a 2 week break in between each term, each term is usually like 10 weeks, and my school does a 3 week break in between term 2 and 3, which just ended
