Agreed. While the SNES compression is technically a “flaw” it does add something in terms of the aesthetic. I encountered the same feeling when I saw some “redone” DKC tracks in better quality. Sometimes less is more.

AI creations come from an "average" or median point of all human data fed that's into it. This is why I doubt anything visceral or genuinely-felt can ever come from it.
