Some Indian politicians claim the Iranian warship sunk by the US submarine was on its way home from an international joint exercise β where the rules mandated it show up unarmed.
And that the US knew that, because it pulled out of participating at the last minute.

CROCKETT: Okay
We are not treating this, war, the murder of people for arguably legitimate and just ends, with the solemnity it deserves.
The Trump government has adopted the flippant media tactics we saw from ISIS recruitment videos a decade ago.
It was damning for jihadists then.
How about now?

Heading back in. Update later.
But the judge this morning drew a hard line at stopping the protesters from even claiming self-defense against an officer who drew his gun when chasing down an unarmed protester.
Those monitoring say this trial has the potential to criminalize dissent in a way that harkens back to the Red Scare.
This case is a real fork in the road for this Trump Administration. The feds are trying to pin the injuring of a cop on all the protesters, even the ones who just showed up to set off fireworks on the residential street.
Unclear how the jury is responding to that.
A few thoughts during this extremely short break from a very cramped courtroom:

I am in Fort Worth, Texas, covering the Justice Department's first trial against antifascism as "terrorism."
The "Prairieland 9" protesters are accused of attacking an ICE facility last summer ... but there's much more to this story than that.
Writing a story in the coming days.
