Tony Clark is expected to resign as the head of the MLBPA. Here is a story with Evan Drellich and Ken Rosenthal. www.nytimes.com/athletic/705...
Thanks to the listeners who have followed along with Grant and I these past four years. The Roundtable will not be back in 2026, and we won’t be able to do the show elsewhere. A bummer, in part because I just had so much fun talking to Grant and Sam twice a week. I’m going to miss that a great deal.
Haven’t seen a Drake get crushed at the Super Bowl this badly since last year
Really nice blog on Gore from @bymccullough.bsky.social, who actually covered him: www.nytimes.com/athletic/702...
Let’s not say things we can’t take back
Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead wasn't just a rock icon. He built the greatest flag football dynasty you've never heard of.
As the Super Bowl heads to San Fran, his Tamalpais Chiefs recall Weir: Part Belichick, part McVay and unafraid to have the opposing QB (kinda) kidnapped. si.com/nfl/bob-weir...
Every three or four years, Joyce Manor surfaces with 20 minutes of perfect new music. Bless them. They might be the best band.
Rest in peace to one of the great bloggers and the de facto mayor of Philadelphia. It was my honor and pleasure to work with him. defector.com/dan-mcquade-...
The Roundtable has a new episode up, and we're quite proud of it. pod.fo/e/33b3ab
October soundtrack is officially booked. I’m stoked.

This was six years ago!
If you are interested in learning more about the fellow who reached that milestone last night, I have great news.
All Devers, No Brakes Part 2: Grant’s Gone Fishin’ Edition.
This is The Roundtable
THE LAST OF HIS KIND is out in paperback today. It includes a new epilogue about the 2024 Dodgers season. I am biased, but I think it's a good book. www.hachettebookgroup.com/titles/andy-...
And we’re still doing bookplates! Send an email to ByMcCullough at gmail dot com.
We hit all of the most relevant topics in the MLB: Pepsi v. Coke, Radiohead’s “Fitter Happier,” the feud between Axl Rose and Bob Guccione Jr., and a stunt Marge Schott pulled in 1983.
We’re recording a jam-band-centric episode of The Roundtable today.
A podcast about bleach, the Braves, baseball. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...
The great Andrew Keh once looked up from a Skyline bowl in the GABP press dining area and said, “I’m only eating this because food contains calories and you need the energy to live.”
Grant talked about the bats made of Flubber. Sam and I had a healthy Sasaki debate. There was also a discussion of Skyline Chili and the classic film “Local Hero.” Fun episode.
You better believe it
This is my favorite story to put together every year. It’s the 2025 Aces Project.

Some people think 90 percent of an NL West preview should be dedicated to the Rockies. We disagree, and kept it to ~60 percent. podfollow.com/the-wind-up/...
A wonderful series, as always. Shoutout to the birds in Nick’s backyard, the swinging door near Divish and the pep in Chandler’s step. My favorite moments:
3. “If it’s broke, don’t fix it. That’s how the slogan goes, right?”
2. “A load-bearing Jose Siri.”
1 (obviously). “Shitting isn’t painting.”
Good news, bad news for fans of The Roundtable.
The bad news is we’re doing two shows a week, Mondays and Fridays, which means you’ll have to endure about 90 minutes of Grant and I pretending to have a clue.
The good news is Sam Miller has become our permanent third mic. New episode out today.
We had @timbritton.bsky.social on the pod this week. I talked about watching the Super Bowl. Grant talked about not watching the Super Bowl. Tim tolerated us both. There’s some baseball in there somewhere. podfollow.com/the-wind-up
