Minna’s interesting since it was the last Arle game before Sega decided to try a new cast for a while. But it did kinda sound like an interim title just to have something on the GBA (tbf tho I haven’t played it)

the fact we got mado 1-2-3 on the eshop is a start even though it was untranslated - it's genuinely crazy that made it here
and i haven't gotten far in Fia but the fact it also made it here does show that sega's interested in giving both sides of puyo more outside exposure
...also get their fair share of cameos in Sega crossovers (Nights is a mainstay for their all-stars games) that made me raise an eyebrow at no Arle in crossworlds, though to be fair I totally agree that Puyo's way better off than nights or SC5 - i guess in the end, i just wish we had quest here lol
That's fair. I was both surprised and not surprised with how much Sonic was actually at the store with how Sonic isn't actually huge in Japan, but I chalked that up to, as you said, appealing to tourists - and as much as I want more NiGHTs and Space Channel 5, I guess it's that they...
When I finally went to Japan and checked out the Sega store at parco shibuya last year I was happy to see some puyo stuff, but it was still so outnumbered by persona and yakuza, much less sonic that it was disappointing - there was like one shelf, maybe 2
I think part of it is sheerly in comparison that the spotlight sega’s other top moneymakers gets + 99% of Puyo content still being Japan only that gets people thinking that, to be fair
Like it was weird to see multiple m-rated characters crossover in a sonic game before Arle
I love Azuma but I feel like saying the game you directed was your game of the year is cheating lol
I’m glad there’s so much more artistic freedom on here but I do wish NSFW artists would tag their posts so they can stop jump scaring me in public.
This is amazing, now put the Sonic Rush soundtrack back on Spotify and I’ll forgive Sega for every misstep they’ve ever made
I SUCK at shadows so this piece taught me a lot about how shading works in Clip Studio Paint. It's not perfect but I'm really proud of the result!
A parody drawing of the famous "I am L" scene from the anime/manga Death Note. The character L/Lysandre from Pokemon Legends: Z-A ominously leans over the shoulder of the male player character with the default name "Paxton" and says "I am L."
A manga panel from Death Note where L leans over Light Yagami's shoulder ominously and tells him "I am L."
What do you mean this isn't how meeting L went in-game?

It’s never been an immersion breaker for me like it has for other people but it is weird when the dang mobile game has voice acting and the main series doesn’t.
Harvesting dog butts.
“Moon” is slang for butt.
Deltarune/Harvest Moon crossover confirmed?!1!1 /s
A literal scam about pig butchering, at least it’s clever
Genuinely underrated game!
While I think this is a really funny move, I really don’t think it’s the move to take when the switch 2 is still suffering from a dearth of first party exclusives.
Plus the DS is RIGHT THERE
It’d be really funny if one of these days an assassin does show up and just for that scene you get a Rune Factory-style boss battle, only for the game to never mention it again
It won’t happen but it would be so funny if that old game theory about Luigi being her father came true or was at least nodded to
Marvelous is so real for being a big Japanese publisher who hasn’t bought into the key cards
They even still do physical manuals in the box
The prophecy
That was the plan but then Phantom R stole the footage for the segment
That description is so funny since the only thing they had in common were being Japanese video games
Ironically, we’d eventually get Rune Factory instead on the farming JRPG front
As someone who didn’t get into Hollow Knight, good for them. Always great to see indies take off like this
For the past like 6 months I’ve been let down by the app’s music choices but THIS makes me happy. Hopefully 3H is next - I need a full version of the English opening in my life
Kaguya, the female player character and a bachelorette from Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, recreates Kaguya Shinomiya’s memetic “how cute” gesture from the anime and manga Kaguya-Sama: Love is War.
Kaguya Shinomiya puts her hand to her chin as she mockingly says “How cute” in the Kaguya-Sama: Love is War anime.
Kaguya-Sama: Love is Horticulture
Wait, no: Rune Factory: Guardians of Kaguya
But which bachelor would be worrying about RF!Kaguya patronizing his attempts at romance like this?

I feel like they’ve been taking every effort to avoid putting the most obvious picks on Nintendo Music for some reason.
Still no DK Bananza? No Mario Kart World? Not even a Rhythm Heaven??
Will we ever see an official Thousand-Year Door soundtrack release???
On the left, fanart of Kai from Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma imitating the official sprite on the right of Godot, from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations.
Masked sons of female dogs that would've had 14-year-me in a chokehold? I had to do it. #RuneFactory #GuardiansofAzuma #Fanart #PhoenixWright #AceAttorney
Iirc RF5 was the highest selling game in the series and it took over a year to reach 500k (granted, the English version also took almost a year to release after Japan while Azuma was simultaneous)
Azuma’s only been out for two months. Excited to see what this does for the brand going forward!
Kurama from Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma pointing and yelling with the “Objection!” speech bubble from Ace Attorney.
Working on another Snapcube/Rune Factory animatic. I had so much fun drawing this part up that I had to share it separately.

He wasn’t even 20 when he first worked on Kirby…and he still looks like he’s in his thirties
