By treating the past with reverence, Resident Evil Requiem loses its profane bite Resident Evil Requiem treats its past with too much reverence, undermining the mystery and blasphemy so crucial to great horror.

Wrote a bit about Resident Evil Requiem and how it's part of a long-term horror trend of reboots and re-visitations which are more nostalgic than terrifying.

Our series on the Deus Ex...series continues, with the first part of a two-part episode about Human Revolution, a game I thought I didn't like, but actually do like.

Really amazing to be asked to write about a game I loved so much for bullet points. I called this piece Baby Steps: or the Modern Pinocchio while I drafted it lol. There is no merit to continuing our own suffering, Nate (and all of us) deserve compassion, most of all from himself.

One of the main reasons that both 7 and 8 are dreadful games is that they're completely humourless.

Well, 7 --starts-- funny. But after the chainsaw Jack fight, that game has nothing to offer.
