Fully agree. DeviantArt worked in a way that curated both individual gallery spaces (your profile) and collaborative galleries (groups) based on certain themes, which was amazing for building community.

Same. Sometimes the drawings I'm most satisfied with are the ones that end up looking most different from what I imagined, precisely because I had to work it out on the page - a kind of "discovery".

A lot of professional comics work is doing shit that is not comics. Graphic design, accounting, answering emails. Just let me draw my stupid comics.
