DeepSeek r1 feels very much like the modern "Shot heard round the world" — If it wasn't obvious already, The US is very much in the midst of a cultural war with China. Recent victories a la TikTok and now DeepSeek put the momentum in China's court.
Cursor screenshot showing Notepad section
Oops, meant Notepad. They’re written in markdown and allow you to @ files. Turn it on in beta features then it should be below the timeline section
Be sure to add “do not unnecessarily delete code unless it does not align with our implementation or documentation” at the end of the previous prompt if it does this
Use the notebooks feature in beta instead of trying to force everything into .cursorrules. I’ve noticed they allow for better organization and help keep the agent on topic when trying to determine what changes need to be made.
Image of the basic Apple Mail icon
Apple Intelligence has made the Mail app actually useable. I’m saying goodbye to subscription based email clients. Feels like the beginning stages of a reversion to native apps driven by an ecosystem of interconnected AI services.
Have you tried Nautilus? Sounds like an ideal use case if the research is academic.

Bluesky fam, what are the best ways to include inline citations of sources in AI generated text?
(Finally) managed to get an MVP of conversation branching working. I have a bunch of ideas for where I want to take this project, but for the moment, I'm quite happy it's in a minimally shareable state. If you end up trying it out, let me know how it goes gist.github.com/danielcorin/...
The Primal Hunter Book 1 cover art
Best series I’ve read all year — who else is a Primal Hunter fan?
This is neat. I added inline dependency metadata so you can run it using `uv run` without having to install it first:
uv run 'http's://gist.githubusercontent.com/simonw/848a3b91169a789bc084a459aa7ecf83/raw/44fe7e0b326832e88beb83748b50104e5e7f70d0/follow_theirs.py

I want to see a screenshot or photo of a project that you've never published anything online about before
Text from screenshot — "The Machine Learning community moved to Bluesky, and I haven't seen a place with so many ML/AI technical conversations since Twitter 2021. For all I know, these same conversations might be happening here in X, but the algorithm decided not to show them to me anymore."
Have been looking forward to this day for nearly 2 years. Feels like AI/ML exodus from X is finally happening — who are the must follows in the community that are active in the comments section?
