Monday is the last day to get your agent to submit your details. We've had literally hundreds of applicants so far, including one from an 80-year-old! Please be able to sound convincingly like a teenager: we need good RP for Bond and good (ideally native) Scottish for Wilder.

Just been approached by an online Nepalese film festival asking whether Iβd like to submit my paintings for consideration - for a substantial sum, payable by me. I pointed out that they donβt have an Artwork award. They replied that if I paid them, they would create one. Imagine paying for an award!

Really proud to have been a part of this collaboration with Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. We gave five wonderful students their first professional job - and a wonderful job they made of it too. I canβt wait for you to hear it.

I watched Queer last night. My hopes were not high - Iβd found the central relationship in Call Me By Your Name to be devoid of chemistry - but I was blown away by this. Incredible direction, cinematography and music - and performances which were sexy, funny and real. So like the novel. Wonderful.

I love the fact that theyβre boasting about using SAG voice artists. Well none of the faces matches the voice, so either you used crap SAG voices or you simply failed to direct them. I mean: honestly! You and I would be ashamed to have produced those flat and lifeless audio performances.

I know itβs cruel to mock the afflicted, but honestly: watch the glasses. The pattern of the cut crystal changes literally from shot to shot - sometimes itβs almost to the rim, sometimes itβs a centimetre below the rim. Now, if heβd employed a human props buyer, that would never have happenedβ¦

For a recognised director to do this is beyond belief. It shows utter contempt for every single creative, from actor to DOP to costume designer to carpenter to make up. Worse, Aronofsky owns the AI-first film company which produced this, so he *wants* to steal jobs from humans. As you say: shame!

This looks like one of those free apps that claim to bring old family photos to life and just harvest your data instead. Only worse.
Any of us could have shot this scene on our phones in half an hour, in our living rooms and with our neighbours as actors - and it would have been far better.

Requiem for a film-maker: Darren Aronofskyβs AI revolutionary war series is a horror
The once-lauded director of Black Swan and The Wrestler has drowned himself in AI slop with an embarrassing new online series
Imagine making a series about people fighting for freedom, independence and the right not to be exploited - and choosing to use AI owned by billionaires rather than employing actual humans. Aronofsky *chose* to put thousands of creative people out of work. Awful.
