A month ago I went to an altiplano wetland called Salar del Huasco. What a beautiful place! We measured field saturated hydraulic conductivity (SATURO) and WC (TEROS12).

In #soil #science, ternary plots for soil texture classification are essential… but creating them consistently and reproducibly can be challenging. That’s why we developed ggsoiltexture, an R package built on ggplot2.

We included 22 different soils covering textures from sandy loam to clay loam and organic matter contents from 1.6% to over 21%. This diversity helps make the pedotransfer functions more broadly applicable.

I appreciate your interest! We tested two heating levels (100°C and 300°C)to simulate low and medium severity burn, which are commonly observed in these types of ecosystems. However, we didn’t include higher temperatures.
