Two small calendar widgets for March shown in light and dark themes, with the 2nd highlighted in red.
Hello everyone! I’m finalizing the next app update, so there isn’t much I can share just yet. Right now I’m in Figma mode—polishing the design, App Store screenshots, and more. Stay tuned!

Daily task screen localized in German, displaying “HEUTE” and event details.
Home screen widgets localized in German, showing calendar views labeled “Anstehend” and “Diese Woche.”
German is one of the largest user groups after English, so I’m really excited to add German localization. 🇩🇪
Hallo zusammen! 👋
#BuildInPublic
Tomorrow is my regular hospital appointment day. And I plan to enjoy Culture Day for the first time in a long while. I need to make good use of the free time in between.
Today was strangely exhausting... Late at night, I finished my weekly notes and all the things I should have done yesterday. Time to sleep now.
Late update: Decluttering life and an unexpected App Store ranking

App Store “Top Downloaded” Productivity chart showing “I Need That Widget” ranked #34 among paid apps.
Some personal news: my app, I Need That Widget, is in the Top 50 for Paid Productivity on the Korean App Store—currently #34! 🎉
Never thought I’d hit this milestone. Thank you so much to everyone who bought the app!
Finally cleaned up the project to prep for the next update. It feels great to start from a fresh, tidy codebase. Now back to my personal project!
It’s been a while. I spent the Lunar New Year holiday with my family, prepared a bug-fix release, and took care of some personal things. This week was packed—and next week will be too—so I’m using the weekend to rest and recharge.
Shipping the update and learning from unfamiliar code

The contract project is almost ready to ship. I’ll be focusing on it for a while, so progress on my personal project may slow down.
The good news: once this is out, I can finally upgrade to macOS Tahoe and move to Xcode 26.3. I’ve been holding off to keep the environment stable.
An iPhone screen showing a minimalist to-do and calendar app for Tuesday, February 10. Several overdue reminders from January are displayed above current events, including one scheduled task for the evening.
The app originally focused on today’s events and reminders. In the next update, I’m expanding it so you can also see overdue reminders.
And don’t worry—if seeing them makes you feel a little called out, you can hide them too ☺️

An iPhone lock screen with a calendar and weather widget indicating a mostly cloudy day at -1°C.
The next update adds localized week starts.
Until now, the app was hard-coded to start the week on Sunday. Soon it’ll automatically match your region (e.g., Monday starts in many European countries) across all widgets—including the Lock Screen.

Inspiration… I need inspiration…
A weekly calendar widget for February 1–7 showing scheduled tasks and meetings across several days in a clean, minimal layout.
I took care of some paperwork today, and since I have a hospital visit tomorrow, I still squeezed in a bit of late-night work.
A new widget is coming in the next update—check your weekly schedule right from your Home Screen!

Routines that keep me going and setting up a new development workflow

“After 20 years of shipping web applications, I have never seen fewer crashes and bugs make it to production. Performance has also been excellent, especially after moving our templates to Elementary. Our heaviest pages make it to the browser in less than 100ms.” (Nick Sloan, Studioworks)

Next update: widgets will surface way more upcoming events, and reminders will finally display correctly.

Haven’t done a late-night bug-fix sprint in a while… anyway, I’m going to bed.
Wrote a Q4 2025 shareholder update for I Need That Widget — even though the only shareholder is me.
Built one-handed after surgery, launched in October, hit 158 sales, and stayed at 0 crashes through December.
A clean iOS calendar widget view with colorful events and personal reminders.
It’s been a while since I worked on my own project. Finally got some momentum again — reminders now show on the monthly grid widget.

Making a tiny animation tweak today. It’s been a while, and I forgot how fun this is.
