If a conflict were to arise, I'd want to help protect my family. I wouldn't want to be passive against agressors. Egoistically, I'd also want to have the best possible income and be safe. Working in the weapons industry would, at that point, seem like a logical step, despite moral conflicts.
Context added: I'm French with family all over Europe (Poland, Greece, Germany, UK...). I don't want any of them to suffer from military actions. I'm afraid at this point the escalation to a conflict on EU soil, while not inevitable, is very likely in the next six months to five years.
With the current threats to Europe coming from both Russia and New Russia (Trump's USA), my moral judgement is getting rewired and I find arguments against working in weapons industry less and less convincing.
