WEEK 10:
Fixed a couple of bugs on my cinematic, so nothing much changed, but the course is officially done, and this is my final cinematic in all its glory.
WEEK 9:
Almost done! This cinematic is about 98% done, if not 100% (waiting on some feedback). Made the camera shots, added some extra sounds, and kit-bashed and landscaped this map together throughout the week. Hope you enjoy! Will be posting one final update on this course soon.
WEEK 8:
This week, I worked long hours to finish this beauty of a door. Fully modeled, textured, and animated by me (very inspired by Star Wars if it isn't obvious), I present to you my Epic Door!
Cinematic camera movements and blockouts (and maybe some kitbash items) will be done over this week.
WEEK 7:
Started modeling doors for my door-opening cinematic. The idea is very influenced by doors and techniques in Star Wars. First door is a force field, where a scanning robot eye will appear to scan the person attempting to enter. Second door is my attempt at an Imperial-esque Star Wars door
WEEK 6:
Worked on making that interactive, clickable environment all week, and here is the finished result! Will be looking into modeling a large-scale door for a cinematic animation by next week.
WEEK 5:
Bit of a slow week here. Working on an interactive, clickable environment using blueprints. Idea is to have vhs tapes and vinyls that can play music and video on the tv, as well as some other secret interactables.
I also started work on learning how to create custom event graph blueprints using simple on-click methods:
Part 2 to the video:
WEEK 4:
I finished creating my first ever environment in Unreal Engine 5! Hope everyone likes it :)
Had to compress the video due to 100mb limit, sorry for bad visuals
WEEK 3:
Lots of work done this week. Added particles and sound effects, like rain, birds, and fire, as well as adding a music track. finalized my level boundaries by putting invisible walls down. Messed with post processing a lot. Added foliage to beach, some fog around lighthouse. Cave almost done
Will hopefully get some rain and other assets by next week, alongside adding a cave on the beach
WEEK 2:
This week I learned about the Fab store, adding materials to a landscape, learned how to use the foliage tool to apply trees, learned how to use the Water Body Actors (specifically the Ocean), and applied assets into my scene. I also tested fog settings and messed with the scene lighting.
White Borders showcase the elements that will be inside of playable space. This is from my first week of this course.
Lighthouse at end of rocks.
1st attempt working inside of Unreal Engine (UE5.6). Working on an environment set dressing assignment, confined to 5000x5000 UE units of playable space. These images showcase my landscape sculpting for the environment, and blocking elements of the level. Lower elevation will be an ocean
SCAD GAME710: Game Art, Engine Pipeline and Practices, a Thread...
Hello Bluesky! I will be using this account to document projects and works that I am in the progress of developing as a VFX artist, studying a Master's degree in VFX at the Savannah College of Art and Design, and hopefully projects beyond!
