Daaaaamn. Of all the people I once admired who've ended up disappointing, Naomi Fisher appears determined to displace Judy Singer in the Most Disappointing stakes.
Here she is tagging Kathleen Stock and Helen Lewis in a tweet about her supportive interview with Uta Frith for her new podcast.

A new report and survey of trans people reports that 99% of them have had their mental health negatively affected by the barrage of anti trans stories in the UK media. 64% avoided medical care due to discrimination. This is a crisis.

If the puberty blockers ban isn't about
TRANSPHOBIA
then why are they still prescribed to those who suffer from early puberty & certain cancers?
As the whole U.K. trial on puberty blockers is paused, itβs important to remember this is a culture war being pursued by those who claim to care about children & young people as theyβre fine with kids who arenβt questioning their gender to get them. Solidarity with our trans community βπ»π³οΈββ§οΈ

Yeah important point here too that studies of children given puberty blockers for precocious puberty show no indication of increased trans youth or health problems.

In Northern Ireland, where the Equality Act does not apply, the DUP Education Minister has unilaterally banned trans kids in schoools and the UUP Health Minister has unilaterally stopped participation in the puberty blocker trials, both citing legal cases they can't be arsed waiting on.

FAQ: Trans inclusion after the High Court decision on the EHRCβs interim guidance | Good Law Project
An explanation of where things stand for services and workplaces
Anti-trans campaigners will try to spin the High Courtβs decision into an absolute victory.
But thatβs far from the truth β the findings in this case will require the EHRCβs code of practice to be rewritten.

Absolutely insane to me that in this day and age this is up for debate.
I had the option of skirt or trousers over 20 years ago. Why would anyone object to this?
That Northern Ireland is still so backwards on this issue is baffling to me.

Why the War on Trans Girls Is a War on Girlhood
Excluding trans girls is controlling who can be girls, and who can't, further dividing children and causing harm
Written by the father of a trans girlβ¦
βWhen society tries to police and exclude trans girls, it ends up policing all girls.
Because transmisogyny does not just say, βTrans girls arenβt real girls.β It also says, βThere is only one correct way to be a girl.ββ

Transgender and nonbinary youth whose pronouns are respected attempt suicide less: report
"It's about effort, and just attempting to be respectful and kind to people," lead author Steven Hobaica tells The Advocate.
βTransgender and nonbinary youth (ages 13 to 24) whose pronouns are respected were 31 percent less likely to attempt suicide in the past year than those whose pronouns are not respected, according to a new report from The Trevor Projectβ

When people talk about Auntie Beeb with misty eyed fondness, the lilting tones of Wogan echoing in their heads, I want them to consider this - my aunt told my mother not to believe my allegations about an uncle sexually molesting me. Little girls make things up, she said.
The BBC is that auntie.

I am - and always will be - proud of my time as a Girlguiding ambassador. As a former Rainbow and Brownie myself, I know first hand what a difference these spaces make to girls. I've seen it in the faces of the young people I met on site visits - including trans girls, who were every bit as bright, joyful and deserving as any other child.
Which is why the organisation's decision to exclude trans girls has devastated me.
Some of those girls and their families have now found themselves caught in the crossfire of culture wars they never asked to be part of. I am truly heartbroken for the trans community who simply want to live their lives, be included, and have access to safe, supportive spaces. Trans girls experience the same threats as other women and girls - they are not a threat to us. They are our sisters.
And so, with a very heavy heart, I will be stepping down as a Girlguiding ambassador with immediate effect.
I stand with my trans sisters today and always. Inclusion makes us all stronger, and I will continue to use my voice to fight for a world where every girl - cis or trans - grows up knowing she ngs.

It's not all money though is it?
Would they really be allowed to clog up the courts with this. Between time, admin, lengthy court processes, public sentiment, cis children being affected etc? I do wonder what the breaking point would be.
And as I said, cis complacency is the real problem here.

I also was looking into girl guides for my daughter.
As a girl who had already been forced out of school due to their toilet policies, I had hoped it would be a great way for her to meet other kids her age.
And now that option has been ripped away from us too.
This is not an abstract debate.

Still, if they ALL stood by their supposed principle and said no, how many court cases could sex matters et al really take on? How many closures before people start thinking hmm this isn't right? There is support on the ground for trans people, but cis people's complacency is the problem here.

Girl Guides: How to radicalise hate against trans children in 10 easy steps
Tomorrow, following a short but successful propaganda campaign, a UK Newspaper will publish an open letter asking Girl Guiding UK to suspend their policy of inclusion for All Girls, including thoseβ¦
8 years ago, 'gender critical' transphobes launched a campaign against the Girl Guides, because they refused to exclude trans girls.
A devastated mum of a young trans girl wrote this...
Today, the bullying, braying, bigots got their wish! πͺ
They are NOT "protecting girls" - it's bigotry and hate!

Study In The Journal Of Pediatrics Finds Trans Youth Care Lowers Suicidality, Few Detransition
The groundbreaking study found that suicidality dropped for transgender youth receiving hormone therapy by nearly 70%, with only 7 patients of 432 discontinuing treatment.
1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.
It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.
It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.
Transgender care saves lives.
