Most creatives literally cannot exist without social media support at this stage. There just isnโt another viable option, which is bad for our mental health and long term viability. You literally do have to buy from the artists you enjoy here if you want them to continue making work.
The duality of visual novel development is the simultaneous presence of
- "Yeah, this man's currently standing in a placeholder environment with just the basic UI," but mixed with
- People taking genuine emotional damage from seeing this scene (muted here; no spoilers) with audio elements in place ๐
