🌺 Recent years have been hard on her, she’s slowly becoming hollow, attacked by things not easily detected on the surface. Many of her branches are slowly failing, but in every little place she can continue to bloom, she does. She is steadfast, and we will look after her for as long as she endures.

🌺 This is Abigail the Redbud Queen. As near as I can figure, she’s about 60 years old, which is a fairly long lifespan for this type of tree. I feel a lot of kinship with her, and I have ever since we moved here, but especially now.
