Our work with NASA Blueflux and others, led by Cheryl Doughty, upscaling CO2 and CH4 fluxes in the Everglades, is published! Check out the paper and see how management and climate are impacting C fluxes across South Florida!
Photo of a woman wearing a hoodie, with the hood up, standing in front of a Welwitschia plant and a licor 6400.
Awesome morning tracking photosynthesis in a Welwitschia population.
(It was cold in the morning, for like 30 minutes, before the sun made it a furnace.)
Look, we know scientists are very very good at organizing their entire collection of papers (digital or hard copy) as a procrastinatory reflex, but you really do need to just get your abstract in now.

It can be, yes!
LI-COR analyzer and smart chamber next to a naturally occurring methane flame.
Got enough methane for the ground to be *on fire*? We can measure that! (The methane, not the fire. Please don't expose our instruments to open flame). Photo courtesy of Dr. Ian Smillie, who was visiting researchers in Grenoble last week.
Happy International Day of Women and Girls in Science! This day is celebrated annually to promote the full and equal access and participation of women in science and technology π©βπ« Take a moment to reflect: what opportunities could you take to increase gender equality in your workplace or community?

Using controlled genetic approaches, RIPE researchers altered soybean leaf shape and found that narrower leaves can improve how efficiently plants use available light.
This work was led by RIPE researchers Bishal Tamang and Lisa Ainsworth.
